My Jaguars

With the new pride and joy!

A great place to spend some time.
My 1994 XJ40.

Interior.

2008 Penrith rally with Michael.

2008 Mountain Rally.

2008 jaguar Mountain Rally with Phil.

I purchased this 1961 MK II 2.4 in 2006.
We use it in Classic Rallys. It is a 2.4L and soon to be fitted with a 3.4L.

With a few coupe friends on a Jag club run.

This photo of the interior was taken by Phil Evans- XJC Register secretary JDCA.

At the 2006 national Rally in newcastle, NSW.
Almost finished. Ready for the exhaust then rego.

Its now ready to start

Its in

Dave gives a hand to refit the engine and transmission. If you look close enough you might be able to see the back wheels on the engine lifter are off the ground due to the weight of the combination of engine and transmission.
Top photo shows the engine fitting completed. The engine was started and it went on the first turn of the key. It had no exhaust and boy was it loud!!!
Front end rebuilt and ready to install

Home again. Here the coupe is unloaded at home after being painted. Now starts the long task of refitting everything back to as close to original as I can get it (minus the vinyl roof).

The coupe`in the spray booth
The body goes off to be painted
The engine is removed for the restoration

I purchased this V12 XJ-C in December 2002. It took 3 1/2 years to complete the restoration.

The body had only a small amount of rust considering it was an import. The colour would be eventually changed to Phoenix Red and the interior to a cream colour with black carpet.
